About Zipporah

Zipporah Robinson has been a musician for over 30 years and a music educator for over a decade. Her musical life began at a young age, with her primary instrument being her voice. Although primarily a vocalist, Zipporah has studied piano, saxophone and violin over a 30 year period.

 

Zipporah was a violinist with the Protégé Philharmonic under Conductor Joseph Glymph and was taught by Renee Baker, Director of the Chicago Modern Orchestra Project. She was also taught by Grammy nominated and award winning songwriter Nelson Mandrell. In addition, she received coaching during a Master Class from international violinist, Rachel Barton and has received coaching from international opera singer, Anna Siwiec-Sitkowska. Zipporah has performed in various venues including CSO's Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center.

Zipporah coaches experienced singers who desire continuous instruction or feedback and preparation for performances. She has taught in community programs and cultural centers. She also conducts violin and piano lessons as well as music workshops for beginning and intermediate instrumentalists.

Zipporah worked in the music field from 1997-2005. In 2013, she returned as a music professional and mentor. On her personal time, Zipporah likes to study about learning methods and languages. She currently speaks Spanish, Portuguese and is learning Italian.
